EQUIPMENT
In addition to UNIFORM, HELMET, and PHONE, you may have one or two items below upon exiting the EMV.
Acetylene Cutter
A dispenser of superheated gases. Burns anything.
Antique MP3 Player
Unsupported format, limited files,
faded stickers. There’s no rational reason to hang on to one of these.
Bot Assistant
A child’s toy that was intended to be a set of smart clamps, but has also shown a real knack for anticipating what tool is needed.
Brainstem Modem
It’s a painful operation, and immediately outdated, but it allows access to anything on the Net with a thought.
Fine Exo Harness
Articulated hydraulic arms connected to a cranial jack, capable of delicate work, or concrete crushing grip. 2 hours of battery life.
The Right Part
It’s a nothing part, until you need it. A good mechanic will somehow have it handy...
Repair Tools
Tool belt laden with basic hand tools, a variety of fasteners, epoxies and gaffer’s tape. Take this if you’re not sure what’s awaiting you. (expended after 3 uses)
Shotgun
It came in real handy for mom back in the second dustbowl.
GMs should consider raising the Effect and Harm of gunshots to a minimum of Level 3.
GMs should also consider increasing a character's Stress by 2 whenever they fire a gun at another person (pg 42).
Spare Circuits and Wiring
Broken machines often need replacement, a savvy mechanic carries a variety of universal parts.
Welding Rig
Spools of wire and arcing connectors that allow fast repair work on any kind of metal structure.
